If you know Dave, chances are you have a story about how Dave made your day. Because that’s what Dave does. And there could be no greater time than this moment to shower Dave and his family with your “Dave stories”, your words of encouragement, and your fervent prayers.

Word travels fast, but for those who are just learning of how life hit the Wonder Family hard this past month, let’s back up.

Dave collapsed suddenly while teaching in late September. We’ll not get into all the details that followed and leave that to his family to share, but ultimately, the doctors found that Dave is now fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Dave is a fighter. He is recently home from the ICU and is staying with Lisa and their two kids, Grace (15) and Brooks (13), at his in-laws’ accessible home. He will soon embark on a long course of intensive chemo and radiation. We believe in a Mighty God and ask for your continued prayers for complete healing by the Father’s hand.

Many are asking to help or somehow contribute in some small way to show their care. While the Wonder Family only requests prayers for complete healing, they are also deeply thankful to all those who have so generously asked to show their love for Dave by bringing meals and supporting their family with financial gifts.
