Support David DaSilva's Family in Their Loss

David DaSilva’s family could use our help after his passing!
David DaSilva, 59, a beloved member of Point Loma’s Portuguese community and well known in the fishing industry for more than 30 years, lost his fight for life after he suffered a heart attack recently and could not be revived. He sadly passed away on April 12 and leaves behind his family, friends and community grieving. David was known for being fearless, funny, and energetic with a love for rock music who never met a stranger. Most importantly, David had a deep love for his children and grandchildren.
David was also a hero in my book, after saving my brother Bobby’s life in 2022 after they were driving together when Bobby suffered a heart attack and started heading his truck into oncoming traffic. Bobby is alive today because of David’s quick thinking.
I am organizing this fundraising effort for the DaSilva children - his blended family: Bridget, 37, David Jr. 31, (with Maribel) and Josue, 24, another David Jr. 22, and Ashley, 19 (with Amparito). He also leaves behind his grandchildren from his daughter Bridget: Kepa, 19, Kaleo, 14, and Jayden 9. David is also survived by his two brothers and a sister. David joins in heaven his parents who pre-deceased him as well as his brother Tony. A celebration of life is being planned hopefully in a park on 4/20 (look for more information.)
If you knew David from growing up in Point Loma during his school years, or later on in life or in the fishing or lobster community – please consider donating any amount you can - directly to his daughter Bridget via her Venmo account at Bridget DaSilva at @QueenBx3 or to this GoFundMe. All of the funds donated will go to the David’s family for costs associated with his sudden death.
Thank you.
