Support David Esparza's Battle Against Cancer

Hello, I'm David Esparza and I am the shipping supervisor at Elliott Electric Supply's Austin RDC where I have worked since 2018. At 44 years old, this will be the 2nd time cancer has reared its ugly little head into my life. Back in 2015, I had Melanoma skin cancer removed from my side. I then lived my life about 8 years cancer-free, that was until earlier this year when I was diagnosed with stage 4 Aggressive Mantle Cell Lymphoma.

I am lucky enough to live only 3 hrs from The MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where I have chosen to be seen and receive treatment. I am fortunate enough to be part of a clinical study that, if all goes well, should be like treating the cancer with a "nuclear bomb" as my doctor refers to it. I am glad to be part of this study, but it does come with some challenges. Due to possible side effects, this treatment will require 24 hr care/monitoring and my doctors are requiring me to stay in Houston for 30 days. During this time my family has stepped up to help my partner and me out by coming and staying in Houston with me.

If cancer wasn't enough, I also just lost my father on July 4th, which has helped fuel my need to beat this and live a full and happy life that he would be proud of.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help with some of the medical expenses, living expenses while in Houston receiving treatment, and loss of wages I am having to face thanks to this diagnosis.
