Support David Holt's Road to Recovery

My name is Bradley Holt and we're raising funds for my younger brother David Holt's medical expenses. He unexpectedly had a massive stroke while at work on Tuesday, June 4th. He was rushed to Flowers Hospital, where they were able to save his life but he was paralyzed on his right side. He is a self employed hair stylist and unfortunately did not have medical insurance at the time of his stroke. The medical expenses are enormous and we are hoping that our family, friends and community will rally together to help support David at this time.

David was blessed to be accepted into Brooks Rehab in Jacksonville for a two week intensive rehab program. He is working really hard in therapy. Day by day David is making strides and has already regained motor function in his right leg and can stand and walk with assistance. The really important part of his occupational therapy is to try to regain function in his wrist, hand and fingers so that David can go back to his passion and livelihood, doing hair. He is young, strong and stubborn, so his prognosis is good. We've heard from several doctors, nurses and therapists that he should be able to make a huge recovery from this over time.

To know David is to love him. He is kind, funny and outgoing. He makes people comfortable where they are and sees them individually. He has kept these nurses and therapists in stitches, laughing every day, even while going through something so traumatic and depressing. It has been a roller coaster of emotions and it will be for the foreseeable future, but we're hoping that with your support, we can lessen the burden of expenses.
