Support David Schuetz's Memorial Expenses

Donation protected

Hello, we are looking for some help with memorial expenses for our father who passed unexpectedly this morning. Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

David Alan Schuetz, age 56, of Lennon, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 28, 2024, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 1 to 3 PM at Watkins Funeral Home I'm Durand.

David was born May 27, 1968, in Nashville, Illinois, to Elizabeth (Marie) and Alfred Schuetz. He grew up in Okawville, Illinois, where he started his trucking career, winning numerous trucking awards. David drove all over the United States and parts of Canada to help support his family.

David was married for 27 years to his wife Dawn, who passed away in 2022. He later met an amazing woman, Kim, in 2023, whom he married in June 2024. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved spending time with his family and friends, along with the outdoors, ghost hunting, golfing, trains, and many other hobbies.

David's laugh and stories will be forever missed, and he always had a lesson for his children to learn. The light shines a little dimmer without him.

David is survived by his loving wife Kim; their children Darla (Nathan) Gottman, Dianna (Dennis) Elliot, Amanda (Brian) Schneck, Kenneth (Amanda) Schuetz, Justin (Trisha) Schuetz, Nathan Lawrence, Marcie Hathon, Christopher (Emilee) Darling, and Abby Lawrence; his 18 grandchildren; his sisters Dawn (Kevin) Metheny, Amy (Steven) Bruns, and Debbie (Alan) Santel; many nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his late wife Dawn, his parents Elizabeth (Marie) and Alfred Schuetz, and stepson Ryan Lawrence.
