Hi folks,
From 2009 to 2019, I've worked as an editor and investigator with PJ MEDIA -- one of the original "new media" outlets that took on the journalism industry's culture of bias.
It is an honor to watch this thrilling American media movement grow. Independent journalism lets reporters cover what you are asking about -- not what politicians and activists want to tell you.
With independence, we get to follow our intuition. We spot stories months and years ahead of mainstream media.
And apparently, I'm pretty good at this. :)
---------------------------
-- In early 2018, I had an inkling that Ilhan Omar's candidacy could develop into a perfect storm. A tipping point marking a major shift in American media and culture.
Due to bias against President Trump, the media really was ignoring Omar's vicious anti-Semitism and likely astounding corruption. Her "identity" just seemed too valuable a weapon for the media to wield against the president -- so the media chose to celebrate her.
Today, I published the latest evidence from my year-long investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar: “Meet Leila Elmi: The Missing Link Showing Ilhan Omar Married Her Brother", and "Ilhan Omar Happened Because Media Chose to Lie to You ".
-- In early 2014, everyone knew about voter dissatisfaction with D.C. "establishment" leadership. But stagnancy seemed to be a reality voters had to accept.
I was handed a tip about an econ professor who had just declared a primary challenge against House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
After spending a few days making calls around the district, I had an inkling the race could be a "tipping point" event as well. Cantor's campaign team was not only reviled by voters, but Dave Brat was answering every question with exactly what voters had been desperate to hear.
I stuck with that race for months. My investigation of corruption on Cantor's team eventually got the attention of Mark Levin -- and he changed America. Levin had Brat appear on his radio show twice, and repeatedly posted my articles on his social media over the final two weeks.
The first ever House Majority Leader to lose a primary. Brat's win is now widely considered the beginning of the Trump Era.
-------------
So my intuition has been pretty great. :)
Unfortunately, independent media does not yet create the income of mainstream media -- a change that would be an incredible benefit for the American voter.
I am now a freelance editor, writer, and investigator. I have proven I can do a tremendous amount with little means -- for my Omar and Cantor investigations *combined*, I only needed to be reimbursed about $1700.
Not bad, considering the Mueller investigation ran $40,000,000, and DC is full of 8-bedroom homes funded by folks paying for the kind of results I managed.
However, I'm just not pulling in enough to continue bringing you the time and effort I wish I could. I am weighing my options about where to take the next step: Whether to an existing outlet or organization, or through raising capital to start my own outlet.
If my work has made a real difference for you, I would be tremendously appreciative if you would help me continue doing this. Any donation is fantastic, as are introductions and opportunities.
I will keep you all updated. Look out for more exclusive information on Rep. Omar. Coming soon!
Kindest Regards,
David
