Help Dawn Capra Recover from Severe Lower Body Injuries

Hello, we’re the Capra family, and we’re reaching out to you during an incredibly difficult time. Our beloved mother Dawn has suffered severe lower body injuries from a traumatic accident. She was struck by a vehicle on the morning of January 29th at the Barnstable Transfer Station. She is currently in the hospital recovering from one of many surgeries. Dawn’s journey to healing is going to be long, painful, and demanding.

As many of you know, Dawn is an incredibly selfless person that has positively influenced countless lives. For those who do not know her personally, first she is a mother. After raising five kids of her own into adulthood, she has opened her home and heart to many children in need of a foster home. Three foster children now call her mom officially, after being adopted into our ever growing family. Second, Dawn is a longstanding cheerleading coach. Establishing Cape All Stars in 1996, now known as Cape Cod Cheer Academy, she has created a place for thousands of kids to learn, grow, and have a place of safety and belonging. Dawn is independent doing all of this on her own.

She’s always gone above and beyond for the entire community for whom she loves, and now it’s our turn to be there for her. Dawn will be out of service for a long time as she focuses on her recovery. We’re asking for your help to raise funds to cover her medical expenses, physical therapy, medications, and any other costs that arise along the way.
