Support Dawn McCarty's Stroke Recovery

Hello my name is Dawn McCarty and I am here to ask you all for some help. As many of you know I have been “sick” with different diseases for most of my adult life. But I never would have thought this is where I would end up. On January 11, 2025, I suffered a double stroke, fell and broke a piece of furniture. Once I got back up I notice I was all bruised and I no longer had use of my right side from shoulder to toes. I have been admitted to Sanford Medical Center, since that date. Although I have good health insurance there are other bills that need to be paid in order for me to survive. When I get discharged I will be brought to a rehab facility to regain use of my right side and learn to take care of myself due to my resent medical situation. Due to this situation I am unable to work during my recovery. I know times are

tough but anything you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

Update: I am scheduled for an angiogram today. Hope all goes well. I will keep you posted.

Update: Therapy is going great. I’m walking mostly with a cane but yesterday walked 100 feet without it. Major progress. I am still not able to go back to work as the cognitive functions are just not there. But as we as survivors say NEVER GIVE UP! Although money is very tight I will survive.
