Support Dawn Robinette's Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Family and friends of Dawn Robinette are raising money for her medical expenses associated with her double lung and heart transplant.
After a long battle with severe COPD, on June 10, 2024, Dawn was rushed to the hospital by her husband, Randall. To find out she was in
cardiac arrest. Once she was stable, she was then sent to Princeton Community Hospital WV, where they found she had a hole in her heart and she underwent surgery to repair it, but then her condition grew worse. She was then transported to UVA in Va, where she was told that not only did she need a double lung transplant ASAP, she also needed a heart.
Her situation was dire, she had to be placed on life support. She was then transported to Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church Va, near Washington D.C. She was put on the waiting list for her new organs and in less than 2 weeks she had a match!
On July 15, 2024, Dawn underwent a very long 9 hours in the operating room. She received her new heart and both lungs. As of now, she is stable. Her medical team, family, and friends are amazed at her will power to live and her fight for life. She is truly an inspiration to us all! And by the grace of GOD, she is very determined to win this battle and make it back home to her 12-year-old son Colton and her loving husband of 14 years, Randall.
Dawn and her family have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Once Dawn is released from the hospital, she will need to relocate and live within 1 hour of the hospital and will have to have round the clock care for at least 3 to 6 months. Please help to make this transition as easy as possible on her, on her husband Randall, and on their 12-year-old son Colton. It is a 6-hour drive right now for her family who live in Ieager, McDowell Co Wv.
We are asking for our family, friends, and our close-knit community to come together and help. Please if you can find it in your heart to donate to help with these overwhelming medical expenses and out of pocket cost, it would be greatly appreciated. No donation is too small, every little bit will help.
Thank you and God Bless
