Support Dean Weir's Road to Recovery

My name is Madison Weir Slusher, and my father is Dean Weir. Dad was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident on July 3rd. He experienced substantial injuries and had to be airlifted to a Level 1 trauma center. His condition is critical, and he needed care from the trauma team. He required massive blood transfusions, CT scans, and x-rays. He has many, many fracture throughout his body. Emergency surgery was performed the following morning to stabilize a fractured ankle and install hardware for a fractured femur. Dad requires assistance with breathing and is on a ventilator. He is currently in the ICU. He has already shown some improvement, but this will be a long recovery with months of rehab.

Dad has served in law enforcement since 1987 and is always fair and just. He loves the Lord and spreads that love wherever he goes, treating everyone with courtesy and respect. Dad is a wonderful husband of 31 years and a truly amazing father.

Because of the extent of dad's injuries it's uncertain if/when he will be able to return to work. Without his income this will place an additional burden on the family. The normal day-to-day expenses, utilities, etc. are costs everyone encounters. But the additional medical costs that enable us to support Dad during his recovery are also very concerning.
