Support Deanna and Damian After Hit-and-Run

My name is Rochelle Doyle and I am setting this up to help my best friend Deanna Garcia and her son Damian. Damian and his mom moved to Sacramento from Guam just last year and have adjusted to their new life. Deanna is a single mother and doing an amazing job raising Damian into a wonderful young man in California. He is a 7th Grade Student at Albert Einstein Middle School and he plays for the Rosemont Sharks Soccer Club as a defender. Damian rides his bike to school everyday but this past Thursday, while heading to school he was hit at the crosswalk and the driver fled the scene. We are beyond grateful for the families and the school for helping Damian immediately after he was hit. He was transported to UC Davis ED and later admitted for his injuries and pain management. He sustained two fractures to his left leg, which resulted in a full leg cast. He also sustained road rash on his lower back and legs.

We never imagined that this could happen. Deanna and Damian could never prepare for the emotional and financial impact of this terrible event. I’m reaching out to everyone to keep Damian in your healing prayers and thoughts and if you are able to donate, the funds will go directly to Deanna to help alleviate medical bills, attorney fees and loss of wages. Deanna has always figured everything out and provided for Damian, this situation I’m sure will be no different but I’m hoping the community and our island can come together to help one of the best moms I know.
