Support Debbie Ross's Memorial Service

To all my family and friends of Debbie Lashell Ross. I am her son Daryl Ross, and I am very reluctant to inform you that on the date of August 13, 2024, and at the very young age of 60; Debbie Lashell Ross, my mom, has passed away. Debbie Lashell Ross was born on November 26, 1964. My mother was full of life and had much more life to live but was take from us by an arsonist in a very tragic fire that the Minneapolis Minnesota Fire Department was not able to contain.

My dear mother is survived by Three Sons Daryl, Stevie and Tony and one daughter Ebony, along with all her grandchildren who are devastated and are still grieving the loss of their mother and Grandmother’s untimely death.

Because this was an attack by an arsonist, it has now become a murder investigation and now also a civil suit because of the lack of fire protection in a building that ultimately should have been condemned.

Her life insurance has been placed on hold pending this investigation. This is why her son and family are raising money to have a funeral. While there is no real solution for the grief we are enduring; there will be a solution for the financial strain of such a tragic and untimely death. We are turning to a go fund me for help with finances which will include renting out a Baptist Church with a kitchen and a Minister to read from the Bible and say a prayer because our mother was a Baptist. We will also display a slide show of pictures of her life. This fund would also cover some trivial costs for those who have at least half the cost of their own travel and finally catering for the event.

I, Daryl Ross, the writer of this page, can tell you we are devastated by our mother’s murder. We cannot believe she is gone after visiting with her a short time ago. We are filled with questions, fear, and anger.
