Chicago-bound for the 2024 Democratic National Convention!

On April 20, I was elected to the Florida delegation representing Congressional District 3 at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago this summer. As a lifelong Democrat, I recall the moment Barack Obama stepped onto the national stage at the 2004 DNC. Along with the nation, I embraced him as a sign of a bright future for all Americans.

In 2020, I proudly supported his VP, Joe Biden for President so that our nation could be united with the passage of legislation that serves all Americans. President Biden and Vice President Harris have upheld their commitment to the Democratic principles of liberty, equity, and justice.

Last month, President Biden put his country first when he passed the torch to younger voices and endorsed Vice President Harris for President. I will be honored to officially nominate Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President at the DNC this month.

I’ve been an activist with Democrats for decades, but after retirement, I knew I wanted to commit my volunteer time more fully to the Democratic Party. I am currently the office manager for the Alachua County Democrats where I recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers.

My sincerest gratitude to my community of family, friends and other CD 3 Democrats who turned out to elect me as their delegate. I’m Chicago-bound to participate in one of our nation’s most revered democratic processes. Expenses are not covered by the local, state or national party, so contributions to defray costs are greatly appreciated. Funds donated will go directly toward my participation at the 2024 DNC.
