Support Deborah & Tom's New Beginning

Since many of you have asked how you can support, I created this page for my parents.

As many of you know, Deborah Evans and Tom Foden have just lost their home in the devastating Palisades Fire. They were out of town, unable to save anything before everything was erased completely, inside and out. This included the gorgeous new ADU they designed and built using their retirement savings.

Since my parents bought the 1950’s fixer-upper bungalow in 1994, over the past 30 years they have created a true sanctuary; the most loving and welcoming family home anyone could dream of.

As kids, our home was the place all of the neighborhood rugrats would run free and play in - slip n’ slides down the hill of our front lawn, building scooters with my dad in our garage, and many adventures on the Palisades Bluffs.

Tom and Deborah, an amazing cook and host, held the most nurturing, delicious, and beautiful gatherings of friends in our home, which made it such a special place for so many. A sacred community hub for dinner parties and calming sunset walks above the ocean.

I hope one day soon they can create a brand new safe haven, a place that feels like home not only for themselves but for everyone they love.

They lost 65+ years of family photos, videos, sentimental treasures, wall-to-wall collections of rare art books and artwork, furniture designed by Tom, and a lush garden lovingly planted by hand and tended to by Deborah.

We are so grateful for your help as we begin the process of recreating the magic that once was.
