Support Delena Johnson's Miss Omega Psi Phi Journey

Greetings and humble salutations from your contestant #7.

My name is Delena Johnson, a first-year junior majoring in Biochemistry on a Pre-med track. I am from West Palm Beach, Florida and I would like to proudly announce that I am running for the position of Miss Omega Psi Phi for the Mighty MIGHTY Chi Theta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.

As a first-year college student, the support of my family, friends, and community have played a colossal role in where I am today. They have helped me in tremendous ways especially in the road to college and my success. I truly believe that “Friendship is essential to the soul which is the motto that the brothers of Omega Psi Phi have lived by since November 17th, 1911. As your next Miss Omega Psi Phi, I plan on upholding this motto in my daily life by fostering new connections and being a friend especially to those who need it the most.

With my platform “Embracing the Community,” I plan on giving back to the community especially those that are apart of underserved populations. I believe in giving back to those that have supported me as well as people who are often overlooked and don’t feel heard. Throughout my time in high school, I have amassed over 900 community service hours while maintaining an “A” average and spending time completing extracurricular activities. I would like to continue this journey in college by hosting community events that are tailored to populations such as minorities, people with disabilities, and those that are unhoused. My goal is to make them feel seen and valued because they matter in this world.

Being apart of this pageant requires participants to promote as well as fundraiser for the competition. Any money that is raised will be put towards the pageant and any necessary materials that I need. I encourage you to donate what you can because no donation is too big or too small and would really be a big help. Your support is sincerely appreciated.
