Support Delilah’s Medical Journey: Help Us Cover Her Care

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help in supporting our beloved 13-year-old cat, Delilah. She’s been an irreplaceable part of our family since we adopted her as a senior four years ago. Delilah has always been full of love and snuggles, but right now, she’s facing some serious medical challenges.

A few weeks ago, we discovered a lump near her chin/lymph node area. Our vet conducted a biopsy, sent it to UGA, and started her on antibiotics. While waiting for results to rule out lymphoma, Delilah experienced a sudden decline in her appetite this past weekend. We rushed her to the vet and found she was jaundiced.

After further exams, including an abdominal x-ray and bloodwork, it was revealed that her liver is enlarged, and her liver enzymes are dangerously elevated. Tomorrow (01/20/25), we’ll be taking Delilah to an emergency specialist for a hospitalized stay, continued IV fluids, and an ultrasound to hopefully determine the root cause of her liver issues.

We’ve been quoted $2,000–$4,000 for these critical diagnostics and treatments. Unfortunately, Delilah isn’t covered by pet insurance because we adopted her as a senior. While we’re doing everything we can for her, the costs are beyond what we can manage alone.

Delilah has brought so much joy and comfort to our lives, and we want to give her every chance to recover and return to the happy, loving kitty she’s always been. If you’re able to contribute, no amount is too small—it all helps us get her the care she urgently needs.
