Support De'Lon's Heroic Recovery Journey
Donation protected
De’Lon (15 years old) was leaving football practice at Charles Drew High School on July 29th, where also his mother was involved in a car accident. In a heroic attempt to save her, he ran to the scene. DeLon was struck by a car after helping his mother get out of the vehicle, resulting in the amputation of his right leg.
At the moment he’s unable to use either leg and has been an athlete since he was 5 years old. Obviously due to the accident, his mother lost her mode of transportation. She’s also recovering from the accident. De’Lon is currently at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and had 5 surgeries and is expected 3 more and has an extensive road of recovery. We set up this GoFundMe account to raise funds to help with medical expenses, both mental and physical for De’Lon and his mother. She’s a single mom with two younger children. Any assistance would be appreciated to help raise awareness of his story. We’re grateful for any and all donations however large or small are sincerely appreciated.
