Support Dennis in His Battle with MDS
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
as you some of you may know my father Doc Shaffer (Dennis) has been diagnosed with MDS. Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are a group of rare blood cancers that occur when the bone marrow doesn't produce enough healthy blood cells. It is a form of blood cancer.
My dad is no longer able to work again and is undergoing treatment currently and we are on a wait list for a transplant donor.
My dad will be without health insurance due to no longer being able to work and without income from his job of truck driving for the last 45 years and we are asking for help towards medical bills and living expenses as well as a bone marrow transplant/ on going chemotherapy treatments. The medical bills are stacking up and we desperately need help. This disease is only curable by a bone marrow transplant. The chemotherapy temporarily slows down the MDS from progressing.
We appreciate any help and to all we love you and thank you for all the support.
