Support Deputy Pedro "Pete" Romo's Family
Donation protected
Deputy Pedro "Pete" Romo has been a beloved part of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station since 2004, when he first joined the station on patrol after being hired by LASD nine years earlier. During his time at the station, Pete has touched the lives of so many, including his partners with whom he worked patrol, rode department dirt bikes on off-road operations, and functioned as a school deputy at our local Valencia High School for thirteen years.
After contracting COVID-19 in December of 2020, Pete fell ill and ended up in the hospital, where he ultimately passed away on Sunday, February 14th, 2021. On Valentine's Day, he left behind his wife Natalie and Marko, Sean, and Natalia, their three children, who are in shock and heartbroken by the sudden and unexpected loss of their loving husband and father.
Our goal is to raise well over $60,000 in the upcoming weeks, in an effort to support Pete's family during their time of need. We are one LASD family and Pete will not be forgotten.
After this page was live for a little over twelve hours, $50,000 has been raised and the fund continues to grow. Here is a statement from the Romo family:
We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity, love and prayers from those who either knew and loved Peter or who, when learning of his passing, felt compelled to give to this fund. If you did not have the pleasure of meeting Peter, understand that he was a humble, selfless and unassuming man who loved and cared for his wife and three children with his whole heart. He also loved his job in law enforcement and served the Santa Clarita and greater Los Angeles community, as well as Valencia High School, with pride and distinction. Peter would have been in awe of your support for his family. We cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. Although our hearts are broken, your support gives us comfort during this challenging time.
