Support Deputy Sheriff shot during training
Tax deductible
On Thursday June 13th, 2024, Loudoun County Master Deputy Kenny Foster was shot in the line of duty during routine training at the range.
The bullet caused significant internal damage, resulting in 3 surgeries including repair to his main artery. After ten days in the hospital, Kenny has returned home to his family with a long recovery ahead.
Kenny and his wife Sarah have two boys who are incredibly thankful to have their beloved husband and father home.
An avid handyman, on the weekends you could find Kenny fixing things around the house or working overtime to support his family. Now with both of those things on hold, the need for his family is great to try and fill all of the things Kenny is to them.
There is an unknown number of months of continued care and hospital visits from their home to the hospital, about 40 minutes each way. Uncertainty about any future surgeries and what long-term recovery will look like. While workers comp will cover the basic hospital costs and Kenny's base salary, there are other expenses that will be incurred during his recovery. This includes his wife needing to take time off from homeschooling their children to attend to Kenny, daily travel expenses and food while at the hospital. It is unknown what modifications may need to be made to Kenny and Sarah's house to support his recovery.
Your support and prayers during this time for the Foster Family is greatly appreciated.
