Help lay Derek Carnes to rest

Derek Carnes got diagnosed with Ampullary cancer in December 2022 at

the young age of 39. He went through multiple rounds of chemo and a Whipple surgery. He was a single father of two amazing boys, Alex (18) and Nicholas (11). He worked at The department of social services for many years, in adoption which was his dream job, and worked really hard to get there.

He fought long and hard until he had to make the impossible decision to stop the treatments as they were not working. He unfortunately passed away on September 30th after his long, exhausting battle. This is a very tragic loss for our family and loved ones. We are here trying to raise money to give him a proper burial and give his kids some closure to start the healing process from this horrific tragedy. A life lost way too young.
