Support Derrik's Supply Run to LaPlace, Louisiana

Hi - My name is Derrik Oldridge - a regular guy attempting to do some good in this world. Trying to have a positive impact by helping out those in LaPlace, Louisiana that were hit hard by Hurricane Ida. If you would like to support me on this journey, awesome! Every dollar raised gives me hope for humanity and lets me know that people still care about people.

 

Why am I doing this?

 

As many of us around the country sat and watched Louisiana get pummeled by hurricane Ida, I felt a pull, no something...stronger, a calling to help in a significant way. I began researching to see how best to support those in need. Soon it became clear that for me, the best way to lend my support was by physically being there to assist in any way possible. Therefore, that is what I plan to do. On September 17th, 2021, I am heading to LaPlace, Louisiana. I will be loading up as many supplies as I can fit in my truck and camper to deliver to those in need.

 

How will the donations be utilized?

 

My goal is to raise $10,000*. This money will go towards gas, tarps, formula, diapers, canned food, bottled water, pet food, personal hygiene items, etc. I plan to purchase as many items as I can fit in my truck and camper and deliver to those in need in LaPlace. Any remaining money will be donated to Grindstone Ministries - an organization currently on the ground in LaPlace helping with relief efforts.
