Support Detained Immigrants in New York
Donation protected
On Monday, July 25, 2022 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) began transferring immigrants detained at Orange County Jail (OCJ) in Goshen, NY, to other facilities outside of New York State. ICE has been blatantly secretive about these transfers, keeping family, attorneys, and advocates in the dark about the whereabouts of their loved ones and clients.
Immigrants who are still detained at OCJ are experiencing deplorable conditions. Many of them have been moved to the solitary confinement unit and have no access to computers for legal video visits. They also have no hot water, no privacy in the bathroom, and no access to the commissary.
We are raising money to help our immigrant loved ones access their basic needs as we continue to fight for their release from immigration detention.
