Support Dexter's Journey to Safety and Love

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kara. We have a blended family of kiddos and a sweet fur baby. Taking care of others has always been very important to me.

These stores selling puppies, I thought, were obsolete due to the ethical issues. I stopped in to see what it was about, and that's when I spotted Dexter. He was the one that didn't look as pretty as the others and was laying in the corner. My heart broke. Wanting to understand this business more, I started asking questions. What I learned was that you can say and present yourself however you want. There is no need to have anything shown to back it up. Claiming that you have those with disabilities working there, helping the most vulnerable—anything to make you sound caring.

I know I could walk away and just understand that is not anything I want to be part of. But Dexter is still there. It has been over a month. I have gone in to give him love and attention. Each time, he seems more distant and is covered in pee. He deserves better. They all do.

If this maybe speaks to you and you would be interested in helping me get him out of there, I would love to bring him into our family. I can provide everything for him once here, but that $2,400 price tag she has on him is not in our price range. Of course, she can ask whatever she wants; she owns them, but he is not being picked, and she told me his price would be going up because the more time spent there makes him more valuable.
