Greetings, my name is Agyei Tyehimba. I am an educator, author, and community organizer from Harlem, New York. My organization Harlem Liberation School, is hosting this $10,000 fundraiser for Dhoruba Bin Wahad. Dhoruba is a legendary Black Panther Party leader, former political prisoner for nineteen years, and Co-Founder of the Black Liberation Army. At 79 years of age, facing debilitating and potentially fatal medical challenges, Dhoruba continues to write, speak, and organize, promoting Pan-Africanism, an uncompromising critique of imperialism and capitalism, and freedom for all political prisoners.

I/We are hosting this fundraiser for Dhoruba because he spent his entire adult life advocating for and protecting others. Now in his time of need, we want him to continue receiving competent and consistent medical treatment, and to spend this phase of his life without worrying about how he will travel, eat, or live with dignity.

We want everyone reading this to know that (as you can see at the bottom of this page) Dhoruba is the sole beneficiary of these donations. That means ALL FUNDS you donate go directly to Dhoruba and can only be withdrawn by Dhoruba.
