Join the CELEBRATE Diabetes Movement: Empowering Lives, Erasing Stigma!
In 2023, I, Jae Oliver, transformed my grief into action. Diagnosed with type II diabetes, I carried my mother’s legacy—the late Donetta Cooley, who fought her own battle with diabetes. Donetta’s retirement years were a struggle with sweets addiction and inactivity. She lost her battle in 2021.
But I chose a different path. Confronting my diagnosis head-on, I birthed CELEBRATE Diabetes—a beacon of hope. It’s more than an organization; it’s a community. A family-run, nonprofit effort fueled by shared talents, experiences, and unwavering beliefs. Our grassroots mission? To serve our community and rewrite the narrative around diabetes.
Our Vision: Thriving Beyond Limits
At CELEBRATE Diabetes, we’re fueled by compassion and resilience. We believe that life with diabetes can be vibrant, fulfilling, and stigma-free. Our vision? A world where individuals with diabetes are empowered to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
Progress in Motion: From Desserts to Education
Current Products:
• Diabetic Desserts: A year of dedication went into perfecting our treats—cookies, cupcakes, and other delights fit for a diabetic sweet tooth. We found a commercial kitchen to prepare and store these low-sugar wonders. They’re available through our online store, with shipping, and we’ve even secured a local deli as a proud carrier.
Current Services:
We’re expanding our offerings to make a real impact:
• Diabetes Empowerment Education: Our courses empower individuals to manage their condition confidently. Knowledge is the key to taking control.
• Cooking Classes: Healthy meets delicious! We teach low-carb, low-fat meals that bring the community together—one tasty bite at a time.
• Fitness Programs: From certified personal trainers to yoga instructors, we’re moving bodies and celebrating life. Group classes are on the horizon.
• Robust Referral Network: Holistic health matters. Our network connects clients with quality referrals—attorneys, insurance agents, and more.
Urgent Needs: Your Support Matters
We’re fundraising to expand our low-sugar dessert line and continue our vital services. My husband and I sold our house to kickstart this nonprofit, and our resources are running thin. We aim to raise at least $50,000—a lifeline for families living with diabetes.
Join Us: Let’s turn limitations into celebrations. Together, we’ll create a healthier, happier future—one where diabetes is just another chapter in our resilient story.
