Hello everyone,
My name is Diana Ojeda, and I’m from Tucson, Arizona. I have recently been accepted to Northern Illinois University College of Law, a dream come true for me. As you may know, pursuing a law degree is a significant financial commitment, but it’s a journey I am passionate about embarking on. My ultimate goal is to become a criminal defense attorney, dedicated to helping individuals in my community navigate the legal system.
In April 2024, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University with dual degrees: a B.A. in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies and a B.S. in Justice Studies. During my time at GCU, I was actively involved in numerous activities, including serving as the president of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society chapter, working as a Resident Assistant, and participating in the honors college. As a first-generation, Latina college student, I overcame many challenges to navigate my undergraduate studies successfully, largely thanks to the scholarship I received.
The process of applying to law schools and awaiting responses has been equally challenging and complex. Now, with my acceptance in hand, I am eager to take the next step toward my goal. However, I need your support to make this dream a reality.
I am raising funds to help cover the costs of relocating to DeKalb, Illinois, and affording my tuition at Northern Illinois University College of Law. Any financial assistance you can provide will make a tremendous difference and bring me closer to achieving my goal of becoming a criminal defense attorney and giving back to my community.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer. Your generosity means the world to me and will help pave the way for a brighter future.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Diana Ojeda
