Support Diane Roy Facing ALS
Donation protected
If you’re lucky, you’ve been connected to Diane Roy in some way at some point throughout your life—whether it be knowing her personally or through her husband Bob, her son Eric, her daughter Jamie, or through any of the many special people in her life. Knowing her means that you understand how devastating it is that she has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, better known as ALS. ALS is a “progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.”
Diane has been working in electronics since 1975 for companies including Digital and Koll Morgan/L3. She married her husband, Bob, in 1984 and then raised her two children who are now 30 and 32 years old. Currently at the age of 62, she was planning to retire soon and begin enjoying her life work-free. In spring 2019, her concerns began when she started experiencing physical pain and muscular symptoms. After she and her family attended multiple specialist appointments, she was officially diagnosed with ALS on November 15. Unfortunately, two of Diane’s uncles and her grandmother also suffered from ALS—thus, she is very familiar with the terrifying impact of this disease.
Given that there is no cure for ALS at this time, the best way that Diane and her family can respond to these circumstances is to enhance Diane’s quality of life and be grateful for each moment of ability and togetherness they have. Funds are being collected for Diane and her family as to assist in relieving some of the financial stress and burden that has and will come upon them. The funds received will contribute to affording expensive insurance deductibles and upcoming medical bills. Diane and her family need our support and are already tremendously grateful for your consideration to donate. Thank you so much, in advance.
