Support Diane Shuler's Medical Fund

This is Diane Shuler. She is 59 years old and is my mother. She rushed to the hospital due to a fever that spiked from a bladder infection. The hospital decided to admit her. The next day, she got up to go to the bathroom, which caused an asthma attack, which then caused a seizure. The hospital said that the infection had gotten into her bloodstream, which caused her to go septic. At that point, they decided to put her on life support due to her body not getting enough oxygen and to treat the infection. When they put the tubes in, she aspirated, which then caused pneumonia to set up in her lungs. She has been fighting for her life. She got a fever in her kidney, which they could not get to go away. They’ve treated her with several different antibiotics, and her body is rejecting them all. They have done everything to find the cause and have had no positive outcome. She has been on life support for approximately two weeks and still no success at finding the root cause of all this. Today we have had to make a decision, and by Friday, she will be gone. The doctors have said they have done everything they could, and there is just no more hope. We are now just waiting to take her off life support until we get arrangements made, due to the fact that she had no medical insurance and no life insurance. I am her only child, so it has been pretty tough trying to get arrangements made. Her medical bills have racked up to be outrageous, and now we have to plan a memorial for her as well. If you could find it in your heart to help my family in this time of need, we would forever be grateful. Any amount, big or small, would be appreciated and would help tremendously.
