Support Diane's Recovery from Acid Attack
Donation protected
Let us introduce our friend, Diane. Tracy and Lisa work with Diane. She is more than our coworker, she is our dear friend. She is a nurse who has dedicated her life to caring for others. After years of being in an abusive relationship, she gained the courage and self-esteem to break away and start a new life.
Unfortunately, she was caught off guard returning home from a night shift. When she got out of her car, sulfuric acid was thrown on her. She was taken to a local hospital and flown to another hospital for specialized care. Doctors predict a 4 to 6 weeks stay and many surgeries to continue. She is the financial support for her mother and is facing catastrophic medical debt. Please don't be mistaken, healthcare is not free for healthcare workers.
She also is hopeful to be able to work with victims of domestic violence when she comes home, to help them understand, share her story and spread the word to never give up hope for a better life. Any help is appreciated.
