Support Diego Rebollo's College and Music Journey

Hola, mi nombre es Diego Rebollo, soy un estudiante de 17 años, y vivo en McAllen, Texas. Originalmente de España, mi familia y yo nos mudamos a Estados Unidos para perseguir nuestros sueños y construir una vida nueva. Este otoño voy a empezar mis estudios universitarios en Kingsville, llevado por mi profunda pasión por la música que me ha guiado a lo largo de toda mi vida. Mi objetivo es compartir y enseñar dicha pasión por la música a otros e inspirar a las futuras generaciones.

Sin embargo, perseguir este sueño conlleva importantes desafíos financieros. Mi padre, un comprometido maestro, es el único sostén económico de nuestra familia de cuatro, ya que el proceso de nuestra residencia permanente sólo le permite trabajar a él. Es por ello que ahora mi familia afronta ciertas dificultades, especialmente por ser inmigrantes y vivir con un solo ingreso. Desafortunadamente, los salarios de los profesores a menudo no son suficientes para cubrir todas nuestras necesidades, especialmente cuando mi hermano y yo asistimos a la universidad.

Por ello quiero pedir su apoyo en dos áreas cruciales:

Costos de instrumentos musicales: Necesito comprar una flauta para mi título de especialidad en música. Un instrumento de alta calidad es esencial para mi educación y mi futura carrera, pero es un gasto importante que nos cuesta cubrir (estamos hablando de miles de dólares).

Matrícula universitaria: Cualquier fondo recaudado también ayudará a aliviar la carga de mi matrícula universitaria, lo que me permitirá concentrarme más en mis estudios y menos en el estrés financiero.

Su generosidad no solo apoyará mi educación sino que también brindará alivio a mi familia mientras afrontamos nuestros desafíos diarios. Cada contribución, sin importar la cantidad, marcará una diferencia significativa y me acercará un paso más a lograr mi sueño de convertirme en maestro de música.

Hello, my name is Diego Rebollo, and I’m a 17-year-old aspiring musician from McAllen, Texas. Originally from Spain, my family and I moved here to chase our dreams and build a new life. With a deep passion for music that has guided me throughout my life, I am excited to begin my college journey this fall as a Music Education major. However, pursuing this dream comes with significant financial challenges. My dad, a dedicated teacher, is the sole provider for our family of four, since the process of our permanent residency only permits him to work. That is why my family is now facing difficulties, especially being immigrants and managing on a single income. Unfortunately, teachers’ salaries are often not enough to cover all our needs, especially with both my brother and me attending college.

I am reaching out to ask for your support in two crucial areas:

Instrument Costs: I need to purchase a flute for my Music Major degree. A high-quality instrument is essential for my education and future career, but it is a significant expense that we are struggling to cover (we are talking about thousands of dollars).

College Tuition: Any funds raised will also help alleviate the burden of my college tuition, which will allow me to focus more on my studies and less on financial stress.
