Support dineDK Private Dining

In the 5 years since we started dineDK, we have worked hard to build a company that services the client and chef alike. We created an infrastructure and team that is able to bring to life just about anything our clients request and have given talented chefs the opportunity to be creative and cook when it works best for them. They are able to take control over their schedules, decide which jobs fit their needs and interest, and truly maintain a work-life balance. Through the incredible trust of our clients, we have been able to provide training and access for chefs to break into the private chef/ event world, a notoriously difficult place to get started. Over the years, our clients have turned to us for their most memorable and pivotal moments. We have helped them celebrate family milestones, holidays, intimate evenings with friends, execute high-level brand activations, host media events, and we have given back to the community through fundraisers, school auctions, and work with nonprofits as well.


But now we are faced with a perilous situation: Due to Covid-19, without people gathering and entertaining, we are running out of cash to pay our rent, utilities, payroll, and liabilities.


We are asking for your immediate support. The money we had set aside for the security deposit on a new culinary studio in Jersey City is now what we are surviving on, despite already having invested in many of the initial planning stages of the project. We are still hopeful things will work out for this project but the road ahead is uncertain, and unless there are major changes both locally and nationwide, it will not be enough. The loans and grants currently proposed by state and federal governments are not enough. We are months away from getting meaningful revenue flowing again. It simply does not make financial sense for us to take out a loan without any indication we can re-open soon or generate meaningful income to pay them off. So, like so many small business owners who are facing similar situations, we are using this fundraising campaign as an additional effort for support. 


Funds given to this campaign will help us weather this storm and make sure we can ultimately reach our goal, which is to keep this business afloat, support our team of chefs with an emergency fund, and to help us hold onto our dream of opening our new kitchen/ culinary studio in downtown Jersey City (which will be built to support the local culinary community through affordable shared kitchen services). Once the stay-at-home order is lifted, we are unsure how long it will take for our lives to get back to normal, for people and business to start booking events again, and for us all to be comfortable gathering. This campaign will support dineDK both in the immediate, over the next several months, and years.

Thank you for these past five years. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. When I first started dineDK, I couldn’t have imagined how many lives it would touch. We have achieved so much and won’t give up. We want to continue to support chefs, give our clients access to world-class talent, and help bring more and more events to life.
