Support Dion Correia in Overcoming Unexpected Medical Costs

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of my friends Dion Correia and his wife, Lexy, during a challenging time for them. Over three weeks ago, Dion woke up jaundiced, and what initially seemed like a minor health issue quickly escalated. After raising funds for health insurance just to get him diagnosed, we learned that he had more than 1 gallstone blocking his bile duct. Unfortunately, the least invasive and safest surgery for his situation requires him to be flown overseas to Lahey Hospital from Bermuda, as this procedure is not performed on the island.

Dion's health took a turn for the worse, and he became severely jaundiced, nearing chartreuse and sepsis became a worry. However, he could not leave until they secured loan approvals for the required co-pay, an emergency passport, and covered his flight expenses. Thankfully, they managed to overcome these hurdles, but it has left them with a significant amount of medical debt and their personal bills have now become even more dire.

As many of you know, they owned a well-known art store, which sadly closed over a year ago. Since then, they have been unemployed and struggling to make ends meet. Dion and Lexy have always been the first to lend a helping hand to others in need, supporting individuals and charities alike whenever called upon. Now, they find themselves in a position where they need our support.

Your generous contributions will go directly toward covering Dion's medical expenses and the mounting loans. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ease their financial burden, allowing them to focus on recovery rather than stress over bills. We are asking for the minimum needed but if we can take this over the goal, that would be amazing!

If you're unable to contribute financially, sharing this campaign within your networks would mean the world to them. Together, we can show them that they are not alone in this fight, and that their community stands behind them.

Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for considering supporting Dion and Lexy. Your kindness and support during this difficult time are truly appreciated.
