Support Displaced Families in Kabul
Afghanistan is on the brinks of collapse. Taliban are advancing at lightning speed and so far have taken control of 12 provinces, and counting. They have been committing crimes against humanity by killing in cold blood Afghans who have worked with government or international organizations. 1000s of Afghans are fleeing to Kabul to seek safety.
We are the war generation and most of us know what it means to be an IDP or a refugee in another country.
Now we want to help families who are now in Kabul, with no food and no shelter. We conducted a survey in the Khairkhana neighborhood and identified 496 internally displaced families in dire need. We are planning to give each family Afs 5,000/$65 in cash so they can purchase whatever they are in need of (i.e. food, medication)
We have already raised $3,051 in the last three days through PayPal but for technical issues with the website, we had to switch to GoFundMe platform. This money raised so far will be distributed to 47 families on August 15.
We are doing this through one local volunteer organisation which is registered with Ministry of Economy Afghanistan. The Afghan Veracity Care for Unsheltered. We have been helping families in need for years now. 100% of the funds raised will go to the needy families.
