Support Ditiro Rampate's Journey to PyCon Namibia 2025

Hi, I’m Ditiro Rampate, a passionate Python developer, data scientist, and community builder from Botswana. My journey with Python began with PyCon Namibia, where I gave my first-ever tech presentation. Since that moment, I’ve spoken at PyCon Africa, led workshops on environmental data analysis, and organized events like Deep Learning IndabaX Botswana.

This year, I’ve been accepted to run a workshop at PyCon Namibia 2025, focusing on how Python can empower healthcare in Africa. The workshop will demonstrate how Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can detect malaria using annotated blood smear images from the Lacuna Malaria Detection Challenge. Malaria remains a significant health challenge in Africa, and I’m committed to showing how technology can be a game-changer in this fight.

PyCon Namibia is more than just a conference—it’s where African Pythonistas gather to learn, collaborate, and build solutions for our communities. The event will take place in Windhoek, Namibia, in 2025 and will bring together developers from across the continent to share ideas and build meaningful connections.
