Support Dominic Gentile
Last year, Dominic was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a very rare form of bone cancer. He fought his way through eight months of treatment, including chemotherapy and a total hip replacement.
In March 2020, he beat cancer. His life went mostly back to normal. He quickly regained his physical strength, and he even started his last year of veterinary school in August.
Recently, Dominic discovered that his sarcoma is back. He has restarted this difficult fight, which will include more chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant that will require many weeks in the hospital.
Please give what you can, and show your support for this amazing person! #DOMSTRONG
All funds raised here will be donated to help cover Dominic's expenses while he undergoes treatment.
From Dominic:
Cancer just sucks. Last Wednesday I had my normal three month check up scan. Results didn’t come back in my favor. My cancer is back in numerous spots. I honestly can say I thought that every last cancer cell was destroyed during my 8 month treatment. I felt normal again, like the old Dom. It proves that cancer does what it wants, when it wants, and to whom it wants. Cancer is genetic chaos...plain and simple. The odds last time were bad and this time, honestly, they’re worse, but I’m stubborn and I like a challenge. I had the world’s most unbelievable support team last time, so I’m counting on all of you this time too. I have so much to fight for, so much to live for. I’m going to get my DVM in May, I’m going to have a family one day, and I’m going to grow old and grey next to my best friends. I have no doubt. Time to kick some Ewing's sarcoma ass.
