Support Doni Watson - Rare Bile Duct Cancer

Doni Watson is a 28 y/o Whitman resident; 2013 W-H graduate and served 6 years in the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the MA Air National Guard. Doni is/was currently finishing his Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity and working full time in tech support. In October Doni was forced to put school and work aside to focus on a cancer diagnosis.

In 2019 Doni Watson was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis (UC) at 24 years old. UC is a life-changing Gastrointestinal auto-immune condition. In Oct this year Doni was diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), Rare but often seen along side of a gastrointestinal disorder in older patients. This is also a life-changing autoimmune condition that causes narrowing of the biliary ducts in the liver.

UC and PSC are both chronic autoimmune conditions with unknown cause and NO cure. While a stricture was being explored in Doni’s common bile duct, malignant cells were discovered. This tumor is at the head of his pancreas. This cancer is called “distal cholangiocarcinoma.”

Doni is determined and hopeful! He is currently working with several specialists to include: gastrointestinal, liver, cardiology, oncology and endocrinologist specialists as well as integrative doctors to put together a plan to achieve the best outcome for full remission. Doni’s family and friends humbly ask for your support at this very difficult time. The road will be long but achievable with all prayers, hearts and hands on deck.
