Help My Late Sister's Children Through Crisis

My sister, Donna Marie Allgood, died May 16th.

Her three children (ages 22, 24, and 37) have significant mental health and disability needs and live well below the poverty level. They are facing nearly overwhelming life crises with very little resources. Because of a mix up with Dakota and Hennepin Counties, they may not get the burial assistance funds they should receive.

It is my current goal to get these kids more support and stability than they have had. There is still so much hope for them!

I can't do this alone. Can you help?

Costs:

The first goal is to raise $4,000 so Donna's children can receive and bury her ashes. Anything raised above that will go directly to their immediate daily needs.

• $2,809 to pay for Donna's cremation [Update 8/2: the Cremation Society has been wonderful to work with as we try to get this amount decreased given the circumstances.]

• $1,280 to pay for an ossuary placement for her ashes. It is important to her children to have their mom buried somewhere.

• $950 rent per month

• $400 food per month

Their financial situation will be stabilized in four-five months once their representative payees are approved. Can you help them get from here to there? Could you donate towards a Cub Foods gift card to feed them for a few days or weeks? Or help make it possible for their mom to be laid to rest with dignity and peace?
