Support Donny's Recovery and Family Needs

Donny went septic at 3pm Friday afternoon. For those of you who don’t know what sepsis is, it’s a life-threatening complication of an infection. Thankfully, even with the roads being terrible, I was able to miracle us to the hospital. He went from being perfectly fine to not knowing who I was within 40 minutes.

This all stemmed from a kidney stone that got lodged and stuck in a place it shouldn’t have. Donny had no pain until Friday.

He is stable and resting at the hospital. He was supposed to have emergency surgery Saturday morning to remove the lodged stone, but he passed it on his own at 6am, thankfully. He’s 100x better than he was 72 hours ago, but he’s still in pain, still has some confusion, and still just fighting through this. Sepsis is not something you ever want.

Please say a prayer for my husband. I’ve never been so terrified in my life as I have been this weekend. I’m surviving on adrenaline, I’m not sure how, but I am.

Avery is lost. She has been looking around for her dad and her entire routine is off balance. She and her brother Nicholas are the only things keeping me from losing my entire mind.

Please, no more questions. Some details are meant to be kept personal. Just please, for Donny and that this adrenaline cloud I’m living on stays afloat for as long as I need it to.

Unfortunately, until Donny is released from the hospital, rests, and allows his body to heal, the Cafe will not be open, taking away the ability to cover financials.

Everyone that knows Donny knows that he is stubborn and will do anything necessary to provide for his family, including putting his health aside, which is what we do not want. Please consider helping in our time of need, even if it’s just a prayer.

update 1/7/25: Donny is still in the hospital. His nurses told me that the floor he is on is “isolation haven”. Please continue prayers for us. ❤️
