Support Double I E's Journey to Stability!

Hello, my name is Double I E! I am a Black trans Disabled artist and I've been crowdfunding for survival for over 10 months. Constant crowdfunding is exhausting and unpredictable.

After I graduated college in spring of 2023, I took a break, then started job searching in the fall of 2023. Since then, I've had no luck—the job market is terrible right now. Not having consistent income has made every month turbulent and stressful as I navigate housing insecurity.

My current housing situation has been chaotic since my housemates have demonstrated that they are committed to disrespecting me and my belongings. I want a place of my own where I can finally live in peace. My lease ending on August 31st is a chance for a fresh start, and I need your help to make my dream a reality! All of the money I have raised crowdfunding so far has gone to rent, bills, groceries, toiletries and unexpected expenses, leaving very little money left over to replace failing electronics and a borrowed mattress that I have to return by the end of the month.

I want (and deserve!) stability and a life of ease, abundance, and peace. I want to be able to continue the event programming, archiving, and art that I have been doing over the past four years. Not being able to meet my basic needs makes it difficult for me to sustainably create and collaborate with other artists.

My most recent public offering, a digital meditation and a collaboration with an international artist, had to be unpublished because I couldn’t afford to renew the website. Nevertheless, I refuse to give up on my art, and will continue to amplify the work that I have done and will continue to do. Please check out my portfolio here.
