Support Douglas’s spouse, Lindsey & their family

It brings me great sadness to be writing this today. On July 14, 2021 Douglas Coppin in his 36th year, passed away suddenly in a tragic tubing accident. At the time of the accident, Douglas and his family were vacationing on Lake Temagami, they had rented a cottage for a week. The family was creating new memories and doing what they loved the most – being together, as a family. Lindsey and the family watched helplessly as Douglas took his last breath.

Two years ago, Douglas and Lindsey moved to the north where they started their new journey together – where they would live, work and raise their family. Douglas and Lindsey were living their dream everyday – heading to work together, raising their family, tending to their home / property and exploring the land. Douglas had truly found his happy place – he loved being with his family and completing home improvements on his own, even if it took a little longer. Lindsey and Douglas were not just spouses they were soul mates, best friends, goal setters, and each other’s everything. They enjoyed doing everything together even if it was taking the garbage and recycling out – no matter the task, they enjoyed doing it, as long as, they were together. Lindsey and Douglas will forever be soul mates. Lindsey and the children are going to need so much support over the next weeks, months and years to come.

With your generous contributions to this Go Fund Me, you will be helping Lindsey with the expenses towards the funeral, maintaining the house / property which will include: hiring help to cut the grass, snow removal, and splitting / piling wood (heat their home with a wood boiler). A trust fund will be set up for their children - the funds will go towards the children’s activities and schooling. Also, the funds will go towards counselling for Lindsey and their children.

With your support, Lindsey will be able to continue to raise their beautiful children and strive to provide their family with the life that Douglas and herself has created.
