For those who dont know The Lawrence Family, I’m Chloe (30), the youngest daughter to my dad, the legend, Doug Lawrence (65).
On Halloween night 2024, I brought my family over to see my parents, upon arrival I said to my husband, “Does my dad look yellow?” He initially said, “No.” We left and went home… I didn't sleep that night.
The next morning, November 1st, I showed up to my parents house and told my dad to come with me to the ER, just to ease my mind. Which quickly escalated into our worst nightmare.
After CT, MRI, Ultrasounds, and numerous labs the ER Doctor came in and told us, “His case is too big for this hospital and he needs to be transported to a bigger hospital closer to Dallas.” My dad and i looked at each other, in disbelief.
We were transferred to Medical City Plano. My mom (Jill) and sister (Lexi) rushed to meet us there. We waited for a doctor to come in and tell us it was, “The Silent Killer” Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. We were shattered. They gave him TWO MONTHS TO LIVE. We stayed with him, loved and held him.
November comes and goes, my dad starts aggressive chemotherapy. Only to find out, he is too weak. The chemotherapy sent his body into Septic shock where he stayed 11 days in the ICU. My dad fought hard, relearned to walk and talk but overall left the hospital weaker than the man he used to be. As a family we decide its best he doesn't move forward with chemotherapy.
As more time passes, my dad’s quality of life decreases. On one of my sleepless nights, I was looking for alternative solutions when I came across a cancer facility in Mexico. This one of a kind treatment has put Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer into Remission.
The treatment comes at a hefty price but its worth it when it comes to my dads life. Im crying out for help & time is not in our hands. Without this life saving treatment our dad will be leaving behind his Wife (Jill) his 4 Daughters (Paris, Kaysha, Lexi & Chloe) and 12 grandchildren.
If you or anyone can please help our family raise money to get my dad the life saving treatment in Mexico our family would greatly appreciate it.
God Bless you all!
