Support Downtown Lowell Bar & Restaurant workers

The mandatory month long closing of bars and restaurants in  our MA communities could have a devastating impact on all staff, but especially  full-time kitchen staff, and tip-dependant servers and bartenders, who have bills and families like everybody else. 

While there are many in need of support due to this pandemic, staying focused one narrow and local group can create a meaningful impact for our neighbors.

So, this fund will be used exclusively to support the individual kitchen staff, bartenders and servers out of work from downtown Lowell's bar/restaurants.

Funds will be distributed on an as need and as requested basis, in  amounts of $50 to $250 per individual/per week, over the next four weeks. I'll distribute the funds via cash-app or venmo, and I will keep the identity of the requester confidential after verifying where they are employed (I'll just ask. No red tape). 

If you would normally spend money at one of these downtown Lowell establishments, and you are still getting paid over the next month, please consider donating that money here. 

I highly encourage you to purchase gift certificates and/or food delivery to support these and all local impacted businesses, as well.
