Our beloved Dr. Jeffrey Leak, my brother-in-law, has been courageously battling a rare autoimmune disease for several months now. His journey has been filled with ups and downs, and he has spent countless days in and out of the hospital.

The Struggle and Hope: Jeffrey’s condition requires specialized medical care, and he has been seeking treatment from the exceptional teams at UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center. On March 25th, what started as routine tests and appointments took an unexpected turn when Jeff was urgently admitted to the ER. Since then, he has undergone three surgeries and remains in the Medical ICU, fighting with unwavering strength.
