Support Dr. Mike Zollicoffer's Cancer Battle

Good evening to each of you in receipt of this update and hoping you had a relaxing weekend. We must continue to message the plight of our friend and brother, Dr. Mike Zollicoffer. As you know, Dr. Zollicoffer is almost two months removed from his diagnosis of colorectal and renal cancers and NOW sits waiting to begin life-saving treatment as money matters are worked through.

four weeks ago, a plan was laid out for treatment. It was then discovered that Dr. Zollicoffer's health insurance was not in effect to cover the cost of radiation treatment (initial cost of $135,000, with a necessary down payment of $60,000). His attorney, Robert Dashiell Esq., has been working diligently with the related agencies to come up with a viable solution. There has been modest progress as the Social Security Administration is looking into his case at the highest levels according to Attorney Dashiell today, however no determination has been made and Dr. Zollicoffer STILL HAS NOT STARTED TREATMENT. Are We in America? Where is humanity in healthcare where money rules the day to care about life instead of a dollar?

The recent Tragic death recently of the CEO of United Health Care has shed light on the frustrations of how the value of a life is considered, although taking of another’s life is not the advocacy we need. There must be a more humane approach, and WE BELIEVE it can start with the highlighting of Dr. Mike Zollicoffer’s plight. If it can happen to a doctor what does say for the underserved or any of us who may not have the ability to pay.

I am now calling on you not just to give but to share this story. Share with your friends and family as well those organizations you belong to, religious, social and fraternal. Please share immediately and often.
