Support a Frontline Hero and Her Family After Losing Everything in the California Fires - Jan 2025

Our dear friend, Dr. Rashida N’Gouamba, MD, is one of the most selfless people we know. As an OB/GYN, surgeon and community organizer, she has spent her life delivering babies, saving lives, and caring for others—whether as a frontline emergency doctor or through her tireless dedication to her private practice patients.

Now, she and her family need our help.

The devastating wildfires currently raging through Southern California have completely destroyed their home in Altadena. Dr. Rashida, her partner, and their two young children (ages 4 and 11) barely escaped with their lives. They lost everything—clothes, personal belongings, and the place they’ve called home.

Even as she faces this unimaginable loss, Dr. Rashida remains on 24hr call at the hospital, delivering emergency OBGYN care. It’s a testament to her incredible strength and commitment, but it’s clear that she and her family need a community to rally around them now.

We’re raising funds to help this incredible family. Your donation will go directly to the family, who were left with little more than the clothes on their backs and will help them begin the process of starting over.

*I'm Dionne and I created this for my dear friend and sister Rashida. She was my first friend when I moved to Pasadena and welcomed me into her family with open arms.
