Support Dr. Sanad's Family's Urgent Evacuation

Donation protected
Unfortunately Dr Sanad has been unable to receive the funds from his last GFM campaign, so we have created a new one to make sure he gets the funds he desperately needs. The old campaign will be shut down and GFM should refund all remaining funds.

Thankfully, Sanad’s family has been able to evacuate EXCEPT him and his father. Sanad has worked tirelessly seeing over 200 patients a day as a Doctor, so let’s please help him and his fathers raise the funds to evacuate.

Dr Sanad’s story:

” My name is Dr. Sanad Albelbaissi, and I'm from Gaza(Palestine). I'm writing this message with a lot of thought and concern. I really need your help to bring my family (my mom, dad, three sisters Lama ,Leen, Rahaf, and brother Dr. Zain ) out of the dangerous situation in Gaza. While they find a safe place, I'll stay here to keep helping my community. Your support is very important to keep my family safe and well

During my month volunteering at Al-Shifa Medical Hospital, a sad thing happened to my family. Our home, where we'd lived for over 25 years and where we kept all our memories, got destroyed by bombing. This forced my family to move to more than 5 different temporary places, and they were always scared of more bombing.
While I was busy saving lives at the hospital, I couldn't stop worrying about my family. I was torn between helping people at the hospital and being there for my family. It felt terrible not knowing if they were safe or hurt. I felt helpless being stuck at the hospital, unable to do anything as my family had to flee for the fifth time.

Leaving Al-Shifa Hospital was really tough because of the dangerous situation with the occupation targeting hospitals and people there. I stayed for the last breath and we were besieged by the occupation.. so we forced to moved south, even though conditions were scary.

Finding a safe place in the south was hard since it's small and had so many people who had to leave the north. We could only set up a tent to live in, which was tough because there wasn't much food, and diseases were spreading because of poor hygiene.

Since then, I've been helping out in hospitals in Rafah. I even created a medical point in the shelter at Al-Quds Open University, where 16,000 people live now. Every day, I treat 400 people daily, doing my best with the limited medical supplies available, working around the clock, 24 hrs aday.

Our town has been completely devastated. Our family's home visible in the picture below..has suffered completely destruction and turned into rubble. Additionally, we had land where we grew fruits and vegetables, but it's now completely ruined. We're uncertain about its fate and boundaries due to the actions of the unjust enemy. We've lost our home, our land, and our savings. This is all we have left, and we've watched years of hard work vanish in an instant.

In my tireless efforts to help others, I feel hopeless. I feel completely helpless, with a calling echoing deep within me. I urgently and humbly ask for your help to be a ray of hope for my family. The situation my family faces in Gaza is extremely tragic - they are suffering greatly from lack of access to water, food, medicine, and lack of hygiene. The basic necessities of living have become non-existent due to the ongoing war and siege in Gaza. The decision to request their evacuation is painful, but staying has become unbearable. I beg you to help them, not only for the sake of my family but also for the weak hope that still exists in this devastated land.

It’s been 4 months of hell and horror. This genocide has been too long to bear, and our mental health and lives are in constant danger. (It's hard to put into words the daily challenges I face in the clinics over the past 90 days or so—I've lost count). We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die and even if there is a ceasefire were happen , the destruction in Gaza is beyond prompt repair.

To cross “Rafah” Gaza-Egypt Borders your need to have your name listed in the Crossing List (paid permit) and coordinators in Egypt who have the power to add my family’s names to the list at the border are now asking for upwards of $10,000 per PERSON! They will not add the names until we can prove we have the money ready.

Being the oldest of the family, I won’t be able to live with myself if something will happen to my family and I didn’t do everything in my power to get them out.

Please help me get them out, I will sincerely appreciate any donation, even small ones that will make a significant difference in alleviating our suffering. Please consider SHARING my campaign widely with your family and friends to reach my goal as soon as possible since every second is death danger in Ga.za. I will be forever grateful for your kind assistance in this difficult time.

We are hoping to raise $30,000. The proceeds of this fundraiser will go to an account managed by me.
Your generous contributions will go towards the following:

$20,000 for the Rafah Crossing permit.
$10;000 x 2 people
$500 for the fees of travel and transportation from Gaza to Egypt.
The rest of the funds will go towards shelter/house rental in Egypt, resettling, buying clothes, urgent healthcare, and other humanitarian needs for a few months up to 1 year.
Approximately $900 to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (%2.9+$0.30 per transaction)

Thank you!
