Support Drew's Recovery After Hiking Accident

Donation protected
Friends,
While hiking at Monarch Lake with friends on Saturday May 25, Drew Johnston suffered a serious accident. Weathered turned, wind picked up, rain began to fall, and the unthinkable happened. A tree fell on the trail, striking Drew’s head, knocking him down an embankment, where he lay, attended by Emily Swift, his Fiancé, as well as friends, and two Good Samaritan nurses whom happened upon the scene, until Grand County Search and Rescue was able to reach and extract him 3 hours later. Drew was transported initially to a local hospital in Granby, Colorado to be stabilized, and then on to St. Anthony’s hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, where he’ll continue to be treated in the Neuro ICU.

Drew & Emily are loved by friends and family dispersed across the country, we’re using this as a vehicle to coalesce our support for Drew & Emily, who will be the direct beneficiaries of the funds, with a goal of supporting them with medical expenses, meals or anything else they need as Drew endeavors to recover from this tragic accident.

Drew and I are close friends. We first met while attending Appalchian State University together in 2012, and have stayed close friends since, I will be a groomsman in his upcoming wedding.
