Dunfermline Rugby Football Club has been at the heart of our community for over a century, providing a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities to learn, grow, and compete. From our thriving Minis and Youth teams to our dedicated mens and woman's senior squads, we have worked tirelessly to foster a love for rugby while instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience. However, recent challenges have placed our beloved club in a difficult position, and we need your help.
The Challenge We Face:
The last storm caused significant damage to our facilities, including:
- Destruction of our 1st XV rugby posts. (We just paid for new post on pitch 3 so this is a real blow for us)
- The roof being torn off our main stand. (120m3 of roofing ripped off like it was nothing)
- Our outdoor marquee being completely ruined ( Only half an empty frame still standing)
- Several trees fallen down causing various small damage to the facilities
- The main scoreboard destroyed
On top of these urgent repairs, our pavilion – which has stood for over 100 years – is in desperate need of modernisation. Despite our incredible team of volunteers and club members, who have worked tirelessly to patch and repair what they can, we can no longer keep up with the growing demands of our expanding club. The time has come to make essential upgrades to ensure our facilities can support our players and the wider community for generations to come.
What We Need to Do?
Our fundraising efforts will go towards:
- Repairing the damaged rugby posts
- Restoring and reinforcing our main stand
- Upgrading our pavilion with essential improvements, including
*Upgraded shower facilities ( The showers are getting cold to quick now since we have a higher user demand)
*Proper insulation and heating to make the space more comfortable year-round (The cold is making condensation which is causing dampness and mold)
