Support Dru Through Cancer Recovery
Donation protected
Our dear friend and amazing Montana-based acupuncturist Dru Whelan was recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her uterus—a mass that doctors are describing as a high-grade, major adenocarcinoma. It's slow-growing, but it's a bad cancer. SHIT!
With extended experience in both Eastern and Western medicine, Dru weighed her options, met with a local oncologist and decided that a surgery through the Sletten Cancer Center in Great Falls is her best chance.
The surgery was done on May 13th, a total hysterectomy that removed the embedded tumor, tissues and several lymph nodes. Dru is now awaiting the results of the pathology report to see if more action and additional treatment is needed. Fingers crossed!
She's very slowly climbing out of the fog and pain. The surgery took more out of her than originally anticipated, and this will be a long recovery--at least 8 WEEKS of resting, healing and no working in her private practice. As a one-woman show, this means she will not be able to earn any income while she recovers.
Dru has served as a healer in her communities for decades--17 years as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse and 21 years as an Acupuncturist. Throughout COVID, she has continued to treat patients at her in-home clinic in Great Falls, and has been there for all of us with more grace and generosity than one can begin to explain.
Now, Dru needs our support!
Goal:
We have set a goal of $4,000—to help with Dru's medical bills as well as aid her ability to truly rest now without being stressed about finances. It will also help relieve her of the pressure to have to rush back to work as a self-employed acupuncturist.
Any amount helps and buys her more time for her body to build, balance and find the strength to get her through this challenge.
*Please send donations as soon as possible—every penny is needed right now!*
We have also connected with Prayer groups through the Ozark Research Institute and a Friends Power of Eight Circle and others. She welcomes prayers and focus on Healthy Qi Frequencies to assist her in wellbeing.
Thank you and many blessings!!
